Frank Pyne A good friend of mine worked very long and hard to collect and present these 50 songs. The collection has captured not only the songs, but also twenty years of writing and playing with some wonderful musicians, all of whom became my friends. The idea, also from Klaus to order the songs alphabetically, was a masterstroke, as it gave a random nature to proceedings. A folk waltz from 1985 is followed by some country jazz from 2002. A moody, on the edge, live recording of Waco, is followed by naive idealistic pop. A surprise at every turn! The musicians are superb, one and all. Each musician left his own unique mark on the sessions creating a 3 CD set which takes a trip though a landscape of diverse genres, rhythms and instrumentation punctuated by 50 songs.
