Flower to the PeopleFemale singer Fleur Tolman who also plays the piano, together with guitarist Frank Ong-Alok who also sings, are the two members of Flower to the People. This combination started in 1995. Acoustic World Fusion (AWF) is how the music of FttP can be discribed. You’ll hear influences from jazz, latin, folk and blues. Almost all their songs are composed by themselves. Their music is transparent, melodious, melancholy and always with a worldbeat sence underneath. Two albums are out since 1999. The first one called “To the Heart” .The second one “Hunger” was released in may 2005. The two singles “Miracle Circle” and “Love to hold you” were regularly played on the radio. Concerts are given mostly in theaters, on festivals and other cultural events. During the concerts some other ethnic instruments like the didgeridoo and the Indian Harmonium are used as well. This presentation gives the audience an evening with great diversity. Foto: Jessica Vrolijk Website: http://www.flowertothepeople.nl CD's: |
